You have to be found on the internet now if you want to stay in business over time
Every day millions of people are searching the internet for what they need and want. They use Google, Yahoo, Bing, Youtube, and other search engines. If they need an electrician, they search “electrician” and “their town”, or if they need auto repair, they search “auto repair” and “their town”. If they are searching for what it is that you do in their town, does your business show up in the top 3 results? How about the top 10? Does it show up at all?

If you don’t have an internet presence as part of your advertising strategy, then you’re not likely to be found in the place where 80% or more of your potential local customers start looking for your product or service.
Businesses are expected to be on the internet
No matter what you do, plumber, contractor, lawyer, dentist, insurance, it doesn’t matter, if you cannot be found on the net, you’re losing business. Even if you have a website, if you are not promoting it, you will not get customers from it.
Having a website is only one way to establish an online presence. There are places you can go online and be involved, and send people who are looking for your product or service to your website, phone, or front door.
